Rule Changes for Track and Field for the 2027 season were just released by the NFHS, and were the shortest list of items in recent memory. 

The biggest change was in the throwing events where participants will now be prohibited from warming up by throwing a shot over their head while their back is toward the sector.

Other changes provide for allowing the games committee to permit field event participants to report in by flight and prohibiting the use of foreign substances on shoes in throwing events.
